Prepare the Barbicide solution: Fill a clean glass or plastic container with the appropriate amount of Barbicide concentrate according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The ratio is typically 1 ounce (30 ml) of Barbicide concentrate to 32 ounces (946 ml) of water.
Immerse the items: Place the tools or implements you want to disinfect into the Barbicide solution. This can include combs, brushes, scissors, stainless steel tools, and other non-porous items.
Ensure complete immersion: Make sure that all parts of the items are fully submerged in the Barbicide solution. This ensures thorough disinfection.
Soak for the recommended time: Allow the items to soak in the Barbicide solution for at least 10 minutes. This ensures sufficient contact time for effective disinfection.
Remove and rinse: After the recommended soak time, carefully remove the items from the Barbicide solution. Rinse them thoroughly with clean water to remove any residue.
Air dry or use a clean towel: Place the disinfected items on a clean, dry surface or use a clean towel to dry them. Avoid using a shared towel to prevent cross-contamination.
